Rice farmer
A rice farmer tills and plows the fields, and then plants the seedlings,
carefully watching over the seedlings, and the seedlings will grow and flourish.
In the same way, for those who are practicing (meditation),
the inner virtues and merits will also gradually arise.

ชาวนาผู้ปลูกข้าวเขาทำนาเขาไถนาแล้วก็ปลูกข้าวกล้าลง
คอยดูแลข้าวกล้า ข้าวกล้านั้นก็จะงอกงามมา
ฉันใดท่านทั้งหลายกำลังประพฤติปฏิบัติอยู่นี้
ก็คุณธรรมทั้งหลายก็ค่อย ๆ เกิดขึ้นมาฉันนั้น
